been months since my last entry... guess i've grown pretty "lazy" with my updates - i didn't mean to and it was NOT on purpose of cos! so here goes... my "flash backwards"

- start of new job; a week in US for training. totally new environment but enjoying every moment of it! oh yeah, tough initially but with the support of my frens and loved ones, boss and colleagues.. we managed to pull thru' =)

- "damsel in distress" - we changed our system and seems like the culture here is to at least try to "activate" our own systems from scratch, well.. meaning have to load OS entirely on our own! OMG~ spent a day to do it.. so sianz.. but yes, quite an experience. LOL

- meeting the parents, with a finalized date - our plans were set in montion... and still underway but i'm glad we finailized the location!! woo hoo!!

- location fixed - woo hoo!! oh yeah.. i'm glad we confirm place le =) so looking forward to changing the menu to bird nest soup instead of shark fin's soup. GO GREEN people!!!!!
... church wedding or not... hmm.. time wise a bit difficult leh.. alamak!

- renovation - the most time consuming project so far! haiz... and time is running short! God bless us with good, honest and fast provider. lessen our worries with NO bad/ lousy situations falling upon us cause we will triumph in Thy name! Amen!

- more hse stuff - need to pack stuff/ sell away things etc.. hmm.. think jus pack clothes, everything else dun want?!! hahaha.. m kidding lah!

- wedding stuff - TBC: Photographer/ Videographer : aiyo.. he say use bridal shop de which i'm not sure which one to choose from also.. haven decide on how to go about it.. the usual stuff is .. so usual... haha. can i have something different?

- other wedding stuff - hmm.. think its still diet lor.. hmm.. actually i oso duno wat.. wahaha.. take it easy man!

- new toy... yes!! hmm.. i wonder how long this will hold my interest...?!!

CNY/ V-day celebration
2010 is a little different when it comes to celebrations cos it's the same date as of Valentine's day and Chinese Lunar Year day 1.... so I guess it's good business for most restaurants and not to mention florist too! LOL ~ no "extra" surprise for my dearie this year due to budget constraint :( next year okie?!

esp. enjoyed my lou-hei with my family and friends.. hahaha... i just so loved this chinese salad. yum yummmmmmm SALMON *slurps* so i don't get bored with this at all (well, at least not yet!) =)

had fun visiting a few of our friends and HUAT HUAT ahhhhh everyone!

pre-packed ingredients are life savers! wahahaha.. well, considered as "cheats" but hey, it's less time consuming and pretty much hit the spot for most eaters! tried experimenting 1 - hot and spicy seafood sauce and well, not bad! think i will try again.... perhaps this weekend!

NEW Job
currently going thru' my 3rd week of training and it's been pretty tough, cause there's so much to learn (or memorize) and talk about the many possibility of sealing the deal, pricing etc :( just gotta absorb, hang on and ride this thru' as much as i can before my training trip to US....

really surprized cos i was expecting them to fly the US person over instead of sending 4 of us over! faints.... would be nice if i got extra $$$ lor for shopping (!!!) .. really siong but well, as they all say, why not since co pay right?! shrugs~ but i guess the experience is still what counts most! it's urm.. winter temp there... i wonder if i'll see snow! LOL

defintely going to take as many pictures as i can when i'm there (victor already volunteer his camera! --> cos i wasn't gg to bring any, was planning to take pics with my cam! gracie can't believe my lazy plan... LOL) and sigh.. won't get to see my dear for 1 week, my family for 2 weeks!!! alamak....!!!!

i'm already missing my dearest family and frens even before i'm there... sigh....

it's has been a test of patience; a rather steep learning curve for me cos i'm so used to wanting stuff my way and fast! alas! a lesson taught and to remember; leave everything to God = put aside your control... cos GOD will lead me to a path he wants me to go. HE controls my life!

it's been a while since my last post and i guess this blog is most probably covered with tons of dust and cobwebs... hehehe... aiyah... been busy with stuff - which i can't quite remember what already! LOL

overall, life's not too bad; could be better but i'm still Thankful for all these events (for the good ones and yes! to learn and appreciate and be thankful for the bad ones too..!).

definitely looking forward to a brand new start in this year 2010. life will be better esp with HIM in my life =)

i should be asleep by now (since duno when...) but my mind's kinda running just a little too active for me now to fall asleep though my eye lids are getting a little heavy.... so i thought, why not jot something down here instead. perhaps that might get me sleepy?! hmm... not working yet and so i waited ~

bugger! might as well continue with my blabbering rite?! LOL

i am thankful for all that has happened in the past few months... well, to be exact.... thankful for all the good and bad that has happened in the past; during my lifetime! that i m still alive, still breathing and every minute, hours, days, weeks, years have been an experience for me to learn, and learn some more!

praise the Lord for his everlasting love for me, for listening and for choosing me. come to think of it, i would have been dead a long time ago as a child when i was having a very serious bad cough that almost cause my parents to be broke BIG time; despite numerous medical treatments; visitations to different doctors/ specialist for 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinions but nothing seems to work at all. i was coughing so badly, i bet it broke my poor mother's heart.

then one day, a missionary came and spread the Living word to my mom. she told me she was really RUDE to that person; didnt believe what was being told and even chased that poor soul away! but i guess it was through pure desperation and a mother's love for her child; that she made a very simple prayer to God that very night for my recovery. because of her faith (jus like what the bible said....!); i fully recovered the next morning. my cough just stopped and i was well again =)

yes, you can just imagine the look on my mother's face.. well, she didnt believe it at first and brought me back to our family doctor and even other doctors/ specialist for consultation and found me to be miraculously healed; fully recovered overnight!

i am writing this testimonial cause i am a living proof of my mother's faith towards God, and to be thankful for his kindness and compassion =)

open your heart and listen... for God is good, God is great, for God is a true, living and loving God =)

can't be sure where i got the flu bug from.. hmm.. maybe from Gracie (???) cause she was sick for the past month or maybe not! most prob got it during the past few days of stormy weather or hmm.. maybe during the bad visibility weekend, all that dust etc..?! LOL
hmmmm *think think* seriously dunno how i got it anyway, but sure hope i'll be better soon!

weddings coming up and i'm gonna be emcee for one of them.. yeah~ for ah sohh !p

caught a couple of nice movies during the long weekend :)

first there was - the ugly truth, totally hilarious. ask Gracie lah~ she was having such a good time sia! LOL right next to me!!! hehehe... mr Lee was caught by surprise by the way the movie turned out cause he didn't quite expect it to be that funny *wink wink* so if any of you who's looking for a good laugh, pick this one. sure to crack you up!

then there was - inglourious basterds, caught me by surprise (!!!) cause i was expecting the usual nazi-kinda-kill-kill-kill type of movie. hmm.. this one is alittle different. well, expect blood (of cos! but not as much as Kill-Bill *phew!*) and urm... didn't quite expect the scalp scrapping part.. LOL ~ fairly interesting so can watch ;)

Anglican Diocese 100th Year Family day
got tix previously @ church for the party - mainly as a donation; cause the money raised will be put to good use hence we were all ups for it! got there just in time for lunch.. hahaha.. yes, expect fun fair kinda stuff, with lotsa games and tons of food and of cos, different sorts of arts-n-crafts for you to choose from ;) the pictures, however were all loaded up to Gracie's facebook. hehehe.. if i ever have the chance, i'll post some here~

pre marriage class * 8 weeks - definitely enjoying these lessons and i believe its gonna help me and mr lee lots in all aspects ;) so if you are gonna get married anytime soon; having plans for committing yourselves into the next chapter.... please do not hesitate to go for this!

mr Lee went for his SAX exam for the 1st time and we met in the morn for breakfast then headed to the exam location @ Paragon. we saw a little girl (think ard 10 years old!!!) just finishing her HARP exam. WOW~ i guess most prob she will be trying out with SSO when she's older?

it was quite an interesting experience for me.. while waiting for mr Lee's turn, we saw a few other candidates going for their music exams too! can also make frens there! another candidate, Jeffrey was also going for his SAX exam as well - good luck for the both of them!

watching movie @ Cathay is so much cheaper when you pay with UOB. we paid $6 each as compared to GV :P hahaha.. bet Jess must be very happie that i said this cause she's Cathay supporter mah! LOL
caught District 9, a very interesting movie - was kinda slow at 1st but as the story evolves, it gets so much more interesting and hey, i dun mind this kinda sci-fi show at all~!

witty and definitely funny; a plot with a twist of "fate" which i truly enjoyed! for those planning their hen/bachelor's party - be warned! LOL - a definite must watch ;)

m a sucker for animation! this one's really good~ simply loved the way the story unfolds e.g how Carl met Ellie, how the relationship between Carl and Russell, "Kevin" the bird and of cos, Doug the doggie of cos! the music's FANTASTIC!

staying focus to God's matter was what Pastor's Liang sermon was about. i guess many a times we were too busy with our daily lives; earning a living, staying alive, building ties/ relationships basically doing what everyone's been doing every day - we've lost much focus in other more important things - our after lives!

though life goes on, we shouldn't forget the ultimate goal.. landing into thy arms of heaven, be pleasing to him :)

super SWEET mr Lee drove us to the airport for Gracie's personal graduation trip to Perth.
we reached the airport jus in time for lunch, hmm.. late lunch! LOL, had a blast with Ros - well, tons of self pic and photo taking of cos :)
said our goodbyes to little Gracie; hmm, not that little anymore but still my little' sis k?! hehehe..

hang out with Ros to Tampine ONE cos she's not been there before, walked about while we waited for mr. Lee to join us after his lesson @ Plaza SG. my dear fren here went shopping; good buy i say esp for a pair of 18K white gold earrings; very special cos they were in the shape of cubes.

after dinner, we walked abit more but got kinda bored cos nothing to buy leh.. so decided to go chill @ Elias Park.
it was definitely relaxing :) enjoying the minimum breeze, hanging out with my favorite people and wishing you were here too, Grace!!!!
luckily we ordered only a full pint beer instead of two to share *phew* it was a really BIG mug lor... LOL
also ordered a thin crust hawaiian pizza to share and it was yummy. hehehe.. at least to me! LOL ~ cos i like lotsaaaa CHEEEEZE ;)

sense of relief having got out of my job a couple days ago.
the freedom (think no words can express this happiness i feel...!!! YIPPEe is simply not enough!) of not having to put on a false front anymore to-you-know-who is simply.. WOW, blows my mind! kinda feels like falling in love all over again.. LOL ~ like real... i'm kidding lah! but yeah, m definitely RELIEF!

thanks to Ros for booking the gold class tix @ Vivo ~ finally had a chance to meet Harry :)
it was extremely comfortable (gooolldddd classs mah! LOL), we ordered a glass of wine with nachos and dips to enjoy our movie. though the movie was a little "dark" but it has much more "feel", probably because of the growing characters. nonetheless, we had a great time hanging out!

took a cab home (outside St. James) and we both realize it has been a really LONG time since we last "cheong"~

a well written play i feel about the stress everyone is facing nowadays about $$$

i love the humor in this play and within the plot, a couple of scenes were so up to date as of what's happening around us e.g. RIP of MJ, the case of Ming-Yi etc. a light hearted play on the various serious topic(s) in life :) anyone, who's anyone just gotta watch this! you will not regret this "want" ;)

many a times, we have overlooked our loved ones while we strive to work harder in providing a better life for ourselves and our family; which is also ironic cos the reason of us working so hard is for the same reason yet while we chase after $, we neglect them the most!

Genting 10 to 12 July 2009

it was our 1st roadtrip - drive ourselves - to Malaysia Genting and Thanks to Ros & dad for them organizing and booking of the rooms @ Resort :)

since it was our virgin trip, we followed our leaders of course! they were very patient and waited for us to catch up. along the way during our pit stops, they will also advice us what to look out for so to ensure smooth driving. it was definitely an eye opener for us on the ethics of driving in M'sia!

driving ourselves in was definitely more fun in my personal opinion cause we get to stop whenever, wherever we want. this allows us to see more which we will not get to enjoy while on the coach. though i cannot say so for our driver... hehehe... sorry dear! next time i will take the wheel for the shorter laps k?

makin our way there was fun, we had fun kTV - singing "nobody, nobody" and laughing ourselves silly; thanks to Jess and Angeline for trying very hard not to sleep to help me entertain our driver thru' the journey! thanks gals, travelling with you two was fun! LOL

highlights

paying our way while using the highway and NO, i am not referring to paying toll money but "speeding ticket" money to the "justice of peace"

climbing up the mountain was really siong. we saw some buses not "moving" at all, well.. they were - YES, confirming this because their wheels were spinning but it was REALLY, REALLY very S.L.O.W - during our climb, we also agreed that drinking h20 and breathing will also make us FAT because our way up to Genting was not easy either! LOL

happy birthday to Han Qing :) with a very mini sing-cake celebration after our sumptuous dinner @ mushroom garden - thanks to Ros dad for giving us such a yummy treat!

coming down the mountain was fast and furious and dizzy! we were on hot wheels for sure cause there was a burning smell sia~ it wasn't from the engine (phew!!!) but from the friction caused driving down!

cheong-ing @ 150km/h for a very short period of time; fastest ever for a non-modified car.. it was like the car's gonna take flight! proves 1 thing... sure can run sia!

it was a lovely affair to witness the ROM of the gorgeous bride Bee Lay, and handsome groom Roland; tying the knot @ Amara Hotel :)

under the "starry" night, it was great to meet up with the gang again :), not to mention the wide selection and good quality of food that was served that night!

after 6 months of sourcing and viewing of over 25++ units (urm, we lost count! LOL) over several locations, we finally found our love nest @ Fernvale. its located very near to Jalan Kayu; close to AMK, YCK, Hougang which is great = not that ULU. there's plenty of buses to Town and back to AMK, Yishun which is fantastic~!

we got it under valuation (yippe!); for a pretty good size (110sqm), 5 years old corner unit that's bright and windy with a decently size master room with walk-in warerobe!!! :)

abit of renovation is required to suit our taste but its definitely worth it!

in just a few hours more and i'll be back home :)

well, the only time i have for some R&R aka shopping was on the last day after all my appointments! quick summary of what i'm done/ had for the past few days...

MK duck (yummy! as usual~), next - my favourite ice cream from BKK.... "the Creamiest Ice cream in the World!" and i'll always order Vanilla ice cream with nuts! hehehee... crunchy!!!

went platinum for shopping despite a couple of hours before it closes (!!!)
was rushing mad but the 1st stop, to find shoes for Gracie and her frens... unfortunately, the design they want has only limited size and none fits all of them - SORRY gals, maybe my next trip will be luckier...

but off cos i got myself a pair lah.. hehehe.. with blings, which they are so not keen! oh well.. too bad but it sure was cheap cos its about SGD 10! hahahaa! i bought about 4 t-shirts from this shop on level 4, its call "Dairy Fresh" (i think!) and each cost approx SGD 6.50 - and nope, i don't think i will put them on sale! hahaha.. they look too damn cute lah~

of cos, there were other stuff i got for mr. Lee, Gracie, Mom and Ros so i hope they'll like them with my limited shopping time :P

also lost count of how many Naraya bags i got this time.. hmm.. i think about 15 of them! hahaha! yes.. i promise to post them in my on-line shop (www.ezyshopper.blogspot.com) so do support me, okie?! :)

i just loveeee this apartment hotel cos i get to cook (!!!) and the weather's not even dampening with my mood! LOL

cooked pasta and prawns. you don't need a lot of seasoning... well, i had a bit of help with the pasta.. cause it comes with ready made sauce already !p
as for the prawns, cleaned and de-shelled. all you need is a hot pan and some butter. that's it! the prawns are so fresh that it jus taste so good with abit of salted butter~! no hard and fast rules here :)

BKK - for the past 36 hours

been busy with work lately so i didn't get to do much shopping at all but i'm so enjoying my stay in this apart' hotel - Citadines @ Sukhumvit 16 cause I get to cook my own meals. LOL :)

the weather here in Bangkok's alittle wet lately and my client was telling me today that it's the rainy season now but ooh well, i don't mind~ except the BKK traffic gets even worse when it rains! sigh... times like this and you'll appreciate more of what you have at home - the ease of phone booking for cabs and smoother traffic!!!

luckily i managed to get my hair done - color and treatment for my hair length = 2000baht aka less than SGD 85 :) hehehehe....

some other stuff i managed to get... lotsa CDs.. so CHEAP... original albums for less than SGD 11 and others less than SGD 16 (!!!!) and i'm kinda surprized myself for buying not 1 but 3 korean albums... they are so playing their songs on MTV that i went to buy it myself :P 'm uploading this for your enjoyment! LOL

yes m away from home again.. 1 week in Bangkok. so far so good except for a rather disappointing flight on SQ. their Krisworld system was jammed (apparently only a few section of the seats have this problem! duhz...), so pretty much NO entertainment during my journey for that 2.5hrs (!!!) sigh...
unfortunately, i left my book in the check-in luggage thinking that i will be entertained! HA.. like real~!

met this engineer on the flight, we talked so i wasn't that bored and boy, he sure knows much about planes.. interesting! read papers, magazine (well.. that ain't much choice so there was Kris-shop, something about traveller... blah blah!) and i had quite a nice meal - yummy mashed potatoes that i'm sure mr. Lee will like too (hehehe... yummyz!) with tasty chicken!

oh well.. it couldn't be any worse right... at least the plane touched down safe and sound ~ well, except for a very LOUD braking sound (!!!), and that's the good thingy about sitting next to my seat mate who knows about planes - he was telling me this shouldn't be the case.. phew! luckily, we've landed! praise the lord~!!!!!

reached the hotel safe and sound but it was drizzling then, hence i didn't do much shopping. luckily there was a supermarket nearby, got some groceries and headed back. it was a fully equipped service apartment - with proper kitchen, living room, working desk, decent toilet/ bath and bedroom! hahaha.. thanks Gracie for the superb recommendation :)

everything's OK so far in Bangkok, peacefully actually. the weather's about the same, the traffic still the same and the people, friendly as usual ~!

i don't know what's come over me...
its like this serious string of bad luck!!!

first, my mp3 dropped and urm, that's kinda gone though mr. Lee is trying to fix it!
second, accident spill on my lappy and the cost of repairing is... might as well top up and get a new one! faintz~
third, the 2nd hp that i brought along to bangkok seems not to be working at all! wah lao!

when's my luck going to change sia?!

advanced MOM day celebration

due to my upcoming overseas assignment, we decided to celebrate Mom's day wayyyyy in advanced :)

luckily we've already made reservations before hand @ Sakura in Balestier.
it was really crowded! the selection's not bad.. i specially liked their drunken prawns!!! they were so fresh and sweet! yummyz~~!
they also served pretty good sashimi... so loving their salmon and maguro sushimi sia~~!

overall, not a bad selection of raw, cooked, fruits, ice cream choices and lotsa desserts!!!! sluurrrpz...

can't complain much cos for the price we pay .. it's worth the money!

its really weird when she wasn't at the door waiting for us like she used to do..
we haven't seen her for the past few hours... so weird, its like missing a part of us all of a sudden... sigh... and we won't be seeing anymore of her anymore..
my heart just ached even more with thoughts like these...!
she has been with us for 16 years and we found her when she was just only 4 ~ imagine that!

i thought i wouldn't cry when we were @ the vet. it was kinda expected (though we never know when!) when her condition worsen but she was always able to come back to us; still as cherry as before everytime after her jap! not this time anymore..

missing her tons already...!

goodbye sweetie, it has been a pleasure having you around... you've been our bundle of joy and our natural alarm clock (when we don't come to your "bidding" on time!) as well..! its all these little things that make u so unique and special :~(

what i've been watching...

such a funny movie and we were pretty laughing our heads off... this is definitely a mood-pick me up when you're feeling stressed!

not bad in terms of the graphics, story line OK and very unexpected ending to this movie.. can watch when you have time and money to spare lah~!

so loving those kids.. cause it was exceptional funny when they speak in PERFECT structured sentences! definite must watch!

my 1st mahjong game for the year...
though i didn't win big but interesting enough cos it was a very successful attempt to complete this set of 13 tiles~! hahaha...

heart thumping (gosh~ now i can understand what pple mean by heart almost jumped our of your mouth kinda feeling!!!), not to mention shaking hands when the winning card was placed right in front of me!

we wanted to go for cheap dinner buffet @ Swissotel but was not able to :(
due to unforeseen car batt failure.... it gave no "warning" to its death and no way we can start the car up!

poor mr. Lee had to call a couple of frens, got referred here and there and then was finally hooked up to an uncle, whom he's supposed to come and tow his car away to nearest workshop to get the batt changed.. in the end, we paid the guy $40 to come where we were, jump start the car then recommended another guy (whose shop was @ Pioneer Road) - to where we're suppose to drive there and get the car batt changed.

yes.. tons of referrals... finally got the job done!

p.s. $120 car batt (!) fixed within 5 mins; guaranteed to last 2 years! i hope it'll last more than that.. LOL but at least this one got color signal to give advanced warning before it fails for the next batt changed.

~ phew ~

despite the economic downturn, there are still many ways to enjoy what we like by paying less for movies.... $6.50 for movies on every Tuesday. ONLY condition, be a GV member and you get this rate. OPEN for all movies with no restriction. the only catch - price is only valid for TUES ~
then again, there are lots of other options; esp with so many tie ups with the credit card companies! you have like HSBC, OCBC and even for Safra members too! maybe GV should consider some tie up with Genting World Card too!

m a GV supporter cause they have more comfortable seats... or maybe because i used to work in GV during my school days hence playing some favoritism. LOL
oh well, likewise i feel if you worked in Cathay before - just like one of my frens @ work.. "die die" also support Cathay lah :P

anyway, m NOT here to promote GV but only to say.... we caught PINK PANTHER 2 on Tues! LOL

laughter is always the best medicine to put aside your troubles and relax your mind and heart... too much worrying caused fine lines (aka wrinkles) and of cos health issues too! though i have not watched the 1st one before, but we enjoyed this one. kinda missed watching the cartoon when i was young :P

22 Feb 2008 must've been a very good date! we went to not one but TWO happy occassions on that day ~ hehehe...

we had wedding luncheon for mr. Lee's buddy of many years on that day.
Thomas had his mini wedding celebration that day too but it was raining so HEAVILY then! i met up some of mr. Lee's frens + their cousins + one of his colleague + ex colleague... ! quite abit of new faces! LOL

we stayed for a while then went back home to prepare for the second round - Jermaine & Brian's wedding dinner.

it was great to see the happy couple, gave our ang bao, view her album and then roam around the area - fresh air after the rain sia - then up to her dresing room to look at the beautiful bride~!

except for the occasional "stage fright" for me, my co host was quite funny and i enjoyed their morning "progress" of being "hum tum" by the sisters when fetching the bride.

really glad to catch up with the rest of our "DL" team too during the dinner, unfortunately Iris couldn't join us cause hers was less than 1 month away! we had our laughs and jokes *as usual*!

not to mention Jermaine's shocking pink gown looks really good on her.. cos its PINK - hehehe.. her fav color mah~!

i should have loaded this earlier... on 14 Feb 2009 :)

saw their ad by chance and mr. Lee made dinner reservations then... besides free champagne with strawberries and perfume gift set, there was 20% discount off from our meal~ hey, not bad when it was "CARROT" day for all the vendors!

overall, it was quite an enjoyable experience - their selection of sweets/ desserts were so much more!

we followed up with some entertainment, mr Cruise's movie :P

got fish, prawns, meats and tons of balls sia~ chix, prawn, pork, fu chou fishballs... hahaha but all very yummy~! and of cos, not forgetting LOU HEI (with abalone) :)

yummy korean, Togi @ Chinatown

was wondering where to go for dinner and stumped upon Chinatown by accident, serious! this ain't the time to go when CNY is just around the corner and we just wanna avoid the crowds. LOL

called the gals to join us, we ordered 1st cause there were many people waiting for tables !p every table was given 6 side dishes and we began our orders with Korean ramen and hot stone rice :)

just lurve the soup base, simply tasty~!

Ros joined us shortly and proceed to order 2 other dishes which were just as yummy! they were spicy stir fried chicken and kim chi seafood tofu soup!

great selections i say, Grace joined us later and she order something else, beef hot pot but i was too full and so, no photos ~ sorry ~!

my ang-mo boss came to town recently for review.. though the stress level has gone up after he left but it was great to see him bringing his kid for this trip! the last time we saw his boy, he's was approx 5-6 mths old... such big blue eyes and long curly lashes!!! and i mean it... CURLY.. simply a lady killer!!!!

now that he's abt 9 months old, he is still such a cutie!!! gosh.. simply melt by his SUPER CUTE smile :)

was out with Ros over the weekend for some girl bonding time and out of fun, we decided to take neo prints! hahaha... its been ages since we took any and were quite taken aback by the price increase~ it's $11 already! WOW.... ex lor!

walked over to Arab street after that and found a very interesting place selling home related accessories and great gift ideas for corporate gifts etc - you can even customized it too! the owner recommended us a very nice place to have dinner after our purchases as well... Turkish food for the evening; just 3 shops away from theirs :)

minced chicken baked with cheese and potatoes.. really nice!

dips platter, best for freshie like us who are totally new and can't quite decide what to order! LOL

Turkish bread, hot from the oven.. quite similar to north Indian nann ~ fat FREE perhaps?

iced mint tea and hot apple tea... simply delicious! we suspect the apple tea was actually apple juice warmed up cos it was SOOOO sweet!!!

overall, quite a nice experience and definitely will come try this again!
p.s. apologies for the dark photos cos we were sitted at a rather dark area n pictures taken with flash light were rather "fake" looking leh...! next time better pics k?!

while we waited for Gracie and mr. Lee to finish their wedding dinner, we drove from Bugis to UOB plaza - it was quite fun though we missed the initial turn, we got to our destination safe and sound and found a shorter way of getting ourselves there! LOL

finally the 4 of us "reunited" and we went Mustafa as requested by Ros to shop around. found what we wanted (but we waited very long for Ros to decide what watch to buy but in the end no go ~ wahahaha.. you see lah!!! waste time le lor *bleh*)

we were thirsty and was looking around the area for a place to sit and drink but everywhere else was crowded hence we left the place and ended up in Balestier for soup instead~!

hot fav place among many MediaCorp artiste and celebrities cos there were tons of pictures of them...

nice and warm fuzzy feeling :) not expensive too.. about $30 for 4 of us~ sweet!

off to home close to 3am *yawnz*

yes.. it's the last day of the year of 2008; we sure look forward for a better tomorrow and blessed to all with good health and fortune!

firstly, BIG THANKS to ya'all gals for your kind support of my products. it was great doing business with you and i hope you like the stuff you bought from me today :) i promise to bring in more Naraya products and of cos, good quality products of other brands the next time for you!

met up with mom for lunch and shopping in Orchard since our office operated half day only for the last day of the year :) hehehe... bought stuff and shoes~! not to mention the crowd~ gosh~ so pack everywhere!

please let me collect $$$$ SOONER/ FASTER/ ASAP..~!!!

went to Vivo after that to meet up with mr Lee for our dinner @ Crystal Jade. we were early hence decided to go for kopi - found a spot at Gloria Jeans and i tried their Chai Tea Latte for the 1st time ... interesting lah but i guess nothing beats Starbucks Green Tee Latte sia~!

thought Grace would be late cos she was still working while we shopped. luckily she managed to reach the restaurant on time :)

tung hoon kim chi chicken... tasty leh! a very diffent type of tung hoon VS what we usually get from the markets!

shrimp paste four season veg - one of my favorites! slurps!

a very cute little boy (was sitting with his parents near our table) caught our eye, very curious too :)

spent 1/4 day running errands - paying bills (duhz!), besides late breakfast and spending good time with mr. Lee - we decided to go visit "Jin Jin" @ SICC.

funny thing... it reminded me of the Zoo! there were many monkeys @ the golf course! they ain't afraid of us, the humans and were most keen with the fruit in your hand.... saw an iguana too however, just a little too late to snap its picture!

some of the interesting sights during my 2 weeks stay..
i'm quite LUCKY though, considering pretty far away from the protest sites but all that blood you saw in the news were definitely for REAL~ it was all over Bangkok Post!

anyway, below pictures are much more light hearted lah~

slide "REcycle day": art pieces from all sorts of plastic items, from chairs to buckets, bottles were used to generate ART :) they constructed "wind mill" from these items... unfortunately, i didn't bring along my cam for this trip so i have only my trusty HP for this ~!

slide "boosting staff morale": was at my client's place and while having lunch, a group of the company staff was at the lift area, greeting everyone going for break - they were singing and dancing to their company song ~! that's something i don't get to see here at home!

slide "MRT, token for entry": thought this was cute so i took the pic, plastic token for entry/ exit out of the MRT... hehehe... interesting!!!

over in Bangkok, MRT is known for underground tunnel transport... hahaha.. different from what we have here @ home.. !

a new joint opened for approx 1.5 years ago, very near to my client's office - Casa Bella, fusion mix of Thai and Italian dishes~

it was a very enjoyable and tasty treat~! i just loved the fish, the salads, steak.... EVERYTHING! however, just to highlight a couple of dishes though...

slide "tofu salad" : really tasty...! slurpz! i believe it's much due to the sweet and sour dressing~

slide "teddy steamed rice" : this is really cute.. too cute to eat~! serious!

slide "stired fried morning glory" : simply oooh sooo.. YUMMY! i just soooo loved it~!

slide "seafood vermicelli" : very similar to our dried mee siam ~ reminds me so much of home!

alot has happened in the past few weeks and the stress has definitely increased but still managable ~ THANK YOU to all my frens and family for your bottomless patience and your endless support with me! 谢谢你们~!

though certain situations has caused some setbacks = wasted efforts and planning = sick of picking up the pieces, with this kinda sh**! it's really pissing me off! nonetheless, the damage's done so there's no point to bi*** about it anymore but to face the problem and fix it!

this is life and all life experiences are to train and make us a BETTER person~!

haven't been sleeping much these 2 days.. most prob of a very much active mind and a very noisy dog i have @ home ~ sigh ~ by 8 plus, close to 9 and i'm up from her barking! double sigh... what to do... she's so OLD already!

met up with mom and Gracie for brunch today @ Suntec ~ didn't realised there were a few big players hosting MEGA SALE for their travel packages (NATAS over already leh... if their price is CHEAPER now as compared to previously, won't that pissed alot of people off~?!!!) so it was really CROWDED and PACKED! luckily i found seats @ Food Republic in 3 mins flat! phew~

had our filled and mom went home after that...
as for Gracie and me, we decided to roam around the area :P bought some stuff.. well, Gracie's the bigger spender (clothing, facial stuff and jewellery~) today compared to mine (facial stuff and cheap nail polish!)... LOL
and a very patient mr. lee (as usual~) waited for us while we shopped!

realised it was raining outside but we decided to have Popeye's @ the Singapore Flyer since we're just right around the corner :)

very BUSY place buzzing with LIFE.. not sure if it's the same for weekdays but it sure was packed while we were there! must be the tour groups i guessed ~ we were having our yummy mashed potatoes when the crowd gushed in the fast food joint! within minutes there were queues so long we dropped the idea of buying another tub of the mashed potatoes to share!

headed home after our 2 hours "touring" and "shopping" @ the Singapore Flyer~ brrrr... their aircon system in the washrooms are really STRONG! anyway, i guess i'll start buying my Flyer tickets on the Singapore Flyer most prob sometime after the opening of IR. hahaha!

i did my own nails earlier just now.. hehe.. been a long time since i did it so i decided to go for a light shimmer pearl base with rose/ butterfly nail art :)

i didn't realize just how much i've lost.. losing myself amidst the busy work life that i MUST and i know that i should revert back to the basics ASAP; to find myself; to continue what i've practice in the past...

Meeting Dave

laughter has always been the best medicine esp when you're feeling stressed, unhappy or just plain bored. we were plain bored hence mr. lee suggested watching a comedy instead.. it was either "love guru" or "meeting dave"...
since we're watching the movie on the weekend, 1st thought was.. choose a longer movie and the 2nd thought was, whichever that has the best seats! (sidetrack: yes i know.. very auntie hor?! hahaha... no choice leh.. m not a teenager or a young adult anymore leh!)
luckily for the both of us, though we've gotten the movie rather late; we got good seats and a slightly longer movie! hahaha..
so there you are, we watched "meeting dave" instead.

it's a show that talks about trusting yourself, about relationships and has good humor in it.
so go catch it when you need a pick me up :)

does it come embedded in our brains when we're born? i don't know...
i would rather believe it comes from the exposure, the upbringing and the education, these would have contributed to one's reactive-ness in handling their challenges in life since actions do speak louder than words and accepting the consequences of their actions = having learnt what is responsibility!

so i guess it does come down to the challenge of oneself if they are receptive and willing to learn from their experiences in life!?

KL trip 10th Aug: Coming home

time flies whenever you're having fun..
the last day of our trip was urm.. a RUSH... we had to chase for our coach.. LOL
you'll find out WHY... read on..

woke up around 10am ~ too late for breakfast but we ain't that hungry after last night's YUMMY supper hence decided to get ready and pack our luggage. changed and check out of the hotel around 11.45am... just in time for lunch. we decided to go for tim sum + chee chong fan from one of the chinese restaurant @ Starhill Gallery.

for those who've read my previous entry will remember me mentioning about their ladies washroom.. YES, have to mention again in this entry cause we brought Gracie over to take a look.. hahaha.. more pictures of course!

don't you just love the details of the wall, the lights and of course man-powered water system :)

anyway, back to the yummy chinese makan joint (which i've also mentioned before in the previous entry.. LOL .. good stuff's WORTH mentioning again!)~

this place is a MUST visit if you're ever coming to KL cause we just LURVE their dishes! such fresh ingredients and esp. the super soft texture of the steamed bun's skin... the filling in it is just so SEDAP!

custard "po lou bao" ~ so so as commented by Gracie; suggested BETTER buns from Crystal Jade in VIVO Singapore... so i guess she must've been right cause she's really a fan of custard leh! hehehe...

we ordered back 2 of the same dishes tried during our previous trip..
steamed pandan skin with custard + yam filling buns which is STILL AS GOOD hands down AND steamed chee cheong fan with scallops :)

newly added dish, recommended by the restaurant's staff - mayo prawns with pork floss, as claimed it was one of their signature dishes and GOSH, we have to agree on this one.. it was really TASTY!

next, mango prawn ~ really crispy on the outside and though we didn't have it immediately after it was served, by the time we sink our teeth into it, it was still so MOIST and WARM .. simply WOW by how well this was being cooked by the chef!

lastly, DESSERTS! we ordered sesame pumpkin skin with lotus filling dumpling and durian crepe which were both pretty good ESP the crepe skin of the durian roll.. so soft, just blew us away :)

had some time left to kill and Ros suggested paying Gucci a visit ~ why not?! since we're here already and who knows they might still be having Sales now! hahaha... we were right!
Gucci SALES still on... so we went around the shop to "hunt" for our trophies!
well, the sales were actually on past season items cause the regular classics are off limits. duhz! but guess what... i ended up NOT the one spending any $$$ in Gucci~! arrghh.. how could this happen???? so sad.. either they dun have the pieces i want OR it's already the last piece!

in the end, it was Ros and Gracie who had little Gucci bags in their hands except yours truely :(

yes, you guessed it al'right...

due to our urm... browsing, we've spent just a little too much time in this place hence we had to run back to our hotel to catch our bus back home...
luckily for us, we were in time... but our bus was LATE! faints! if we had known about this earlier, we won't have to dash like madwomen~~~! argghhh...!

the coach back from KL was pretty smooth... we didn't have many pit stops to begin with.. well, majority of the time i was snoozing cause of a terrible headache! slept like a baby and woke up
hungry ~ LOL ~

approx 4hrs later, we found ourselves at Yong Peng :)

we had fruits, drinks, steamed buns (see above Ros's peanut bun!) and steamed corn for dinner then more shopping at the local products store (see below)for self and colleagues @ work!

was hoping to reach Singapore within the next 2 hours but we were caught by surprised of the jam @ Tuas checkpoint~! we were delayed and poor mr. lee had to wait for us @ Golden Mile for 1 hour~ sorry dear and THANK YOU for being so patient :)

overall, it was an enjoyable PAMPERING trip and we had fun~!

off we go to Quality hotel for late night porridge buffet :)

KL trip 9th Aug: Pampering Day 2

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!

woke up late and we thought breakfast will be served till 10.30am, called the reception and was informed that the hours are from 6am till 10am!!! faints!!!! who'll wake up this early to have breakfast??? 10mins before, quickly chop-chop hurry change and CHEONG downstairs!!!
aiyah ~ paid for le so go eat loh...
as usual, inter-continental buffet style such as toast, cereals, mashed potatoes, baked tomatoes, salads, eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, omelette), fried rice, noodles, chicken/ plain porridge, nasi lemak, mee soto, fruits; fruit juice, coffee, tea etc~

went back to the room after breakfast; rest, watch tv then changed to continue our jalan-jalan trip. in summary, it was a very fruitful trip esp for Gracie cause she found what she was looking for :)

Gracie found another 2 that she liked and Ros found 1 too... luckily for us, we can negotiate for better price.. hehehe.. other purchases of Ros...

went for lunch @ a Jappy tepanyaki shop on level 2... each set is approx RM 16 each, with a huge portion of vege, rice, chicken/fish/ beef and drink.

while Gracie was getting her hair rebonded, Ros and Moi went out of Sungei Wang for some fresh air.. went to a designer clearance outlet (opened by Tangs) and each of us got stuff from there! she bought 2 FCUK singlets and i bought a light yellow FCUK bag... super CHEAP buys!!!

other cheap finds includes...

small greeting cards @ RM 1 each, phone deco @ RM 4.90 (got that for mummy cos she like piggy stuff! LOL)

went back to the hotel after all that shopping to put our bags and off we go.... and this time for FOOT REFLEXOLOGY!!! aiyah ~ something that i'm not very "brave" about! LOL~
can't be helped cause it's really ticklish and painful at times leh!! anyway, it's opposite of our hotel; known as OLD ASIA. much cheaper to do it there as compared to our Singapore price. 30mins for RM 26 after tax! we were taken to the 2nd floor, the area is really veri SPA looking and they offered body massages as well~ so i kinda REGRETTED having my massage earlier before! sigh...

the ambience (see above)... and while waiting, we took a couple more shots (see below)~

though my phone's not a smart phone nor does it have a "WOW" camera pixel but i'm glad it has flash... haaha, cause it was really USEFUL when taking pictures in the DARK... we were taken to a room on the 2nd level and it was pretty "romantic" until one of the staff adjusted the lighting.. had our feet soaked in their herbal bath while waiting for our therapist to come. overall, it's a cosy little space and relaxing as well hence you can try this place when you're there next time!

off we go again to the same street hawker "FU XIN" for our late dinner cum supper and i'm so happie that i have pictures to show you this time! don't envy lah... but it was SUpeRBLy YUMMY!

KL trip 8th Aug: Pampering Day 1

was expecting to some serious shopping due to the M'sia mega sale but i'm surprised on how little i've spent on physical items this time round...
this short trip = pampering 50%, makan 30% and shopping 20%
seriously wondering if it was because of my "extensive" spending before... LOL
nonetheless, we had fun and it was relaxing until.. er.. nvr mind.. leave out the work portion; this is a blog of my relaxing trip!!!!

p.s. took this pic while the gals were watching TV @ night ~

we check-in to Federal hotel around 2plus, 3pm... settled down (finally after changing 2 rooms!) and decided to visit SAM's Nail @ Sungei Wang for some pampering! had my hands and feet done, likewise for Ros had her acrylic nails refilled and painted ~

sidetrack: i dun think we'll check into this hotel anymore lah!! it's not that this hotel's really BAD; well.. considering we've stayed in WORSE places before... but i guess we jus wanna give others a try ;)

had auntie anne's ~ yummy ~ walked around and found this wholesaler on level 2 that sells many OPI and different brand of hair products with discounts! based on the exchange rate; it's simply CHEAPER lah~

more shopping after that... Ros purchase of shoes, bags and cutie items!

couple of hours later... Gracie finally reached our hotel and off we go for supper! so wanted to bring her to this street hawker for their super fresh seafood and glad that she liked it too! however no pic for this part of our trip as our phones were unavailable for photo taking~ sorry!

my 1 day trip to JB, Malaysia

woke up "7 early 8 early" 七早八早 so as not to be late; reason being we have to reach the church by 6.30am! OMG~ that's even earlier than going to work! LOL

it was dark, cloudy and raining when we left the church and begin our journey.
drizzling by the time we reach JB, Yong Peng for "tim sum" breakfast.

super BIG bao, soft on the outside and juicy on the inside :)

what can i say.. FRESH ingredients are the ESSENCE of good and tasty FOOD~! it was a hearty and yummy breakfast!

we cannot find this brand of chilli sauce during our super short "shopping" trip in M'sia! we were looking high & low for it in the supermarket but we just couldn't find any then~! arrggghhh~
if you're a chilli lover and if you see this, please REMEMBER to buy this back! it's really nice and i think it's better than some of the popular brands here! ~ slurpz ~

YUP~! this would be the entrance of the washroom.
the walls are covered with colored pottery items... bright, colorful and shiny! this is one place we won't get to see here in Singapore.

and this shot... is one of the walls outside the washroom... seriously, who would have thought right?! simply makes a good background shot!

we had a mini tour of the pottery....
be careful esp with this electric "HOT" baby that'll be used to "dry" the artwork! this can go as hot as 1000 degrees! whoa...~!

our tour guide was kinda worried of the weather cos it was still drizzling lah and for the basic reasons of not wanting to spoil our plans for our long awaited DURIAN LUNCH~! YESSSS! sweet DURIANs~!

luckily for us.... by the time we reach the Durian farm it has stopped raining and the sun was shining BRIGHTLY ~!!! off we go, walked for approx 5mins before we reach the makan area~!

back to the basics --- NATURE, what you're seeing here is the yellow flower of the dragon fruit (left) and the end product from mother nature; dragon fruit which is red on the outside and white on the inside... hmm... why is the flower YELLOW ah?!!!

we were too BUSY enjoying our DURIAN feast that none of us took any photos of the process! faint~ too bad lah.. but i'm assuming that you're just so RELIVED that we didnt course m sure you'll be DROOLING so much by now...! LOL

p.s. TABAO of durian is allowed, they help you to open up and pack for you in plastic air tight containers. cost of durian --- RM 5 for each kilo! so freaking CHEAP compared to our Singapore vendors!!!!

this place in Yong Peng, JB sells quite a number of native Malaysian products which i really like... for e.g. Green Tea coffee! very yummy.... anyone interested tell me ah... i think i wanna BULK order if they can deliver ~!

majority of the eatery shops are open however none of the retailers interest me!
quite disappointing with the selection and i didnt buy anything there since it's said to be one of the biggest in JB besides City Square!

my 1st time visiting the Goat Farm, err.. really not my cup of "SMELL" but they sure were cute ~!

these goats live on the second storey so technically speaking, they're very CLEAN cos all the waste/ poo goes to the 1st floor!

you can buy FRESH goat milk (of cos after the whole process lah~!) that's alot cheaper as compared to getting it from the shopping centres/ super markets... which they will pack it for you nicely in a ICE-BOX to bring it back home~! how thoughtful!

our last stop... Seafood dinner!

we went to a very rural part of Malaysia, Asli, which i believe the Malaysian govt is doing their best in educating these people and bringing them up to speed. more needs to be done though to better their living standards.

luckily for us, we managed to SQUEEZE everything we bought into our luggage and we got upgraded for FREE!

Genting Retail Therapy Day 03: 14 July

great recommendation from Xiao Xiao auntie, dinner @ Mushroom Garden (we have to take transport down the mountain to this restaurant that's out of Genting Hotel premises; approx 10 mins away) - cheap and good!
our orders that day were...

2. BIG fish; very FRESH
3. cereal big prawns
4. vege 1 - long bean
5. vege 2 - "fan shu" leaves
6. "fu rong" egg
7. soup - lotus root and pork
8. rice
9. hot chinese tea

cost of this meal.... RM 180 for 6 adults + 2 kids

we managed to catch a movie during our stay in Genting; was babysitting Nigel & Hui Xin (i couldn't get active Nigel to pose for me.. hahaha) and the best way to do it, bring the kids to a movie! "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" - premier seat at RM 16; inclusive of 1 popcorn, 1 drink and 1 snack! sigh~ we'll never have this kinda GOOD deals ever in Singapore!
the seats were great and the movie was enjoyable! good show to catch with the kids OR the older kids at heart~ very entertaining!

KL Retail Therapy Day 02: 13 July

it's day 2 of our trip and more SHOPPING cum PAMPERING time is long overdue~!
Ros wanted to go for Acrylic nails and as for me? hair coloring of cos ~! hehe.. m so BORED of the usual black curls and if the price is right, why not?!!!
our efforts are definitely paid off!
cheaper to have these services done in KL than Singapore...!

bought my MARIO t-shirts at RM 15 and cartoon "mr. HAPPY" and "ms TROUBLE" at RM 30 each....

bought local designer clothing (*3 pcs) as well, approx RM 75 each and i liked all of them!! good quality material, nice cut and only about 2-3 pcs in the market!

all that shopping's sure making us HUNGRY~ we decided to visit the food street near our hotel for a quick dinner before making our way to Genting. i was kinda missing home when i saw SATAY! hahaha.. gotta order a bit of that to share lah! sat ourselves down and ordered 1. Wanton Mee, 2. Satay, 3. Hor Fan soup and 4. Fruit Juice to cool our bodies!

we took a cab to Genting for RM 80
it was late by the time we reached and joined Ros's parent @ Highland Hotel - our plan was to reach in the afternoon but we got there around 9pm! nonetheless, it was well worth it esp. with our good buys!

KL Retail Therapy Day 01: 12 July

it was a very FRUITFUL trip with Ros for the past weekend and i had lotsa fun; pretty much shopping, shopping, shopping SPREE!!! yippe!
we took a bus from Golden Mile @ 8am, Thank You mr. Lee = really very nice of you to wake up so early on a Saturday morning to send us there :)

a very happy US, on the way to M'sia customs still looking awake despite our lack of sleep! LOL

on the way to our hotel in KL, Federal Hotel... the very busy highway!

our comfortable room; decently sized though the swimming pool's quite small. we only managed to check-in and settled down around 3pm hence decided not spoil our appetite for dinner; instead we had a nice ice blended coffee (strawberry and cookies n cream) from Gloria Jeans!

visited the latest shopping joint in KL, PAVILION.
it's really big and they have all the big labels in one building! if you have $$ to spend, this is the place to be! LV, Gucci... you name it but if you like Juicy Couture, then you should check this place out~!

we didn't buy much from this place but it sure was big!

next, we headed to Starhill Gallery for dinner. very interesting place recommended by Ros... and the reason, different theme restaurants on the SAME level~! that's something we don't see here in Singapore. i took only a couple of shots...

couldn't take more cause that'll make me too much of a tourist lah~! LOL

this i gotta show you... some anicent way of drawing water in the past, but i guess this is also a good way of increased employment - manual labour to spin the metal wheel so as to draw water out ;P

decided to have chinese tim sum for dinner, since Ros tried it before the other time and i thought it'll be more healthy VS fried stuff lah~

quite a fair bit of variety - we had soup, bao, noodle, tim sum, beef stew etc.... gracie is sooo gonna like their chilli~ simply yummy!!!

super SMOOTH chee chong fan which i think can fight with the super nice one that i tried in Bukit Timah food centre ~!!!!

their yam and custard bun's not bad too! real soft on the outside, pandan bao skin wrapped with smooth yam and custard filling that's not too sweet! yummy~!

you know our usual style here in Singapore, it's really crispy noodle with hot gravy but this one that we had; crab meat Ee-mee is simply different. Ee-mee is cooked thoroughly hence it's already "soggy" but tasted just fine! i love it with their chilli~!

cost of this meal; approx RM 116 for 2 with refillable hot tea of your choice :)
really cheap and good!

quite a fufilling dinner hence we walked abit to digest, of cos not 4getting the shopping~! stopped at this HK cafe place jus outside Sungei Wang for a breather from all that walking and desserts!!!!

we ordered Gui Lin Gao and Almond Logan, not bad for taste and the cost of this meal.... approx RM 13 for 2 :)

it's all about eat, sleep, shop for this trip... what better way to end the day with yummy supper :)
if you're in KL, you MUST come to this shop "安记" along Jalan Alor (opp. Wisma City Tower) to eat their famous Portugese Grilled Fish. they've been in the business for 20 years already!

the BEST way to enjoy your meal...? ice cold BEER!!!!

to sum up the 1st day, we had a great makan + shopping day; though we started a little late but it was worth the travel time!
